Head trapped in a cage
I like to come back to this photo, I feel such a sense of belonging. I've always wanted to make one like this, and I have a feeling that it was with me long before it was made. I don't know if I've told you this before - I like to visit antique fairs, there are certain items there that act as opening drawers. These drawers are full of crawling visions. The birdcage is one of those items.
I think this is one of those stories that writes itself and then lives its own life. A head locked in a cage - hundreds of thoughts, literalities and metaphors.
You seem to be inside. You dream and feel safe. You have such a calming and soothing face now. Stay a while, you are so beautiful
