Polaroid photo shoot
The sun was not our ally. True, the golden hour was yet to come, but the windows still faced the shaded courtyard. By this time a welcome coffee was still in prospect. This is one of those friendships where conversations are so interesting and engaging that it's easy to lose track of time. That was the case this time, too.
I came with a simple idea. I first wanted to take a series of Polaroid photos, which could pad the bedding. The clothes? We quickly looked through the closet - a leather harness was a perfect fit here. A magic wand also fit, to put the whole thing in the convention of a bed party. The harness offered the possibility of linking the arms to the legs - behind the back - which I readily agreed to (perhaps I was the one who insisted?). During the installation, we took some Polaroid photos. Then we put the Polaroids on the bed and waited for the color spots to appear - I'm not sure now if I warned before binding her arms and legs that it takes a long time to develop these photos. However, I'm sure that the photos on the photos already came out pretty clear (...)
